Ethan Gaskill, Owner + Creative Director

What's your day-to-day look like at Insight Social?
Meetings with clients, creating content, approving social media schedules, and consistently researching all things social.

How did you get started in this industry?
I've always been obsessed with making things beautiful. I like putting the pieces together to make one big (and pretty) picture. When I was younger it was legos, as I got older it became photography, when I got to college it was the film industry, and eventually it became social media. When I was utilizing social platforms for myself, I always did my best to maintain a consistent brand and consider all of the details for the betterment of the "big picture". Social media management allows me to be involved with so many fun and creative aspects of a business, it just made sense for me to get into it!

What's your favorite part about your job?
Watching brands come to life. While we aren't technically a branding agency, we ARE responsible to ensure all of the content, conversations, captions, and more are 100% on brand and represent our clients in the best way possible. Over time it's really exciting to see how this develops from brand to brand.

Coffee drink?
I keep it classic. Regular coffee (I love both hot and iced) with a splash of almond milk. If I'm feeling fancy i'll get the drink iced with some cinnamon powder and have the barista shake it up!

Favorite current social media trend?
Tiktok. It's so addicting because of how quick moving the platform is! It's also incredibly easy to get organic reach and build massive audiences when you compare it to other competitors such as Instagram and Facebook.

Guilty pleasure?
My guilty pleasure is chips, salsa, and a margarita...

Ashleigh Kluck, Copywriter

What's your day-to-day look like at Insight Social?
Crafting compelling captions for our clients, and writing blog posts for Insight Social.

How did you get started in this industry?
After the family business I worked for sold, I enrolled back in college to finish my BBA. While in college I started a small, handmade jewelry business from my kitchen table. I didn’t have a huge marketing budget, so I had to learn how to sell products and build a brand organically on social media. Simply put, I fell in love with marketing and knew that it would forever be the foundation of my future career. I started working with local clients, and 4+ years later, I have clients nationwide and work with agencies like Insight Social who provide custom social marketing experiences for their clients.

What's your favorite part about your job?
Building a client’s brand voice, watching their story come to life and blogging about trending or tutorial-style topics in regards to social media marketing.

Coffee drink?
Unpopular opinion: I believe that coffee should be hot.
My order is always a Vanilla Macchiato.

Favorite current social media trend?
Like Ethan, TikTok is my favorite trend. It has everyones attention right now (and for good reason). It’s addicting and the possibilities for creating content are endless.

Guilty pleasure?
Spicy, homemade queso. A good bottle of sweet red wine. New office supplies from Target.

Alysa Bryant, Head of Social

What's your day-to-day look like at Insight Social?
My schedule is different for each day but some things remain the same... As Head of Social, I check all of our client's accounts to make sure that comments and messages have been replied too. By that time, I probably have a few meetings lined up for the day. After my meetings, I go back in and check our accounts to see that things are running smoothly!

Aside from my Head of Social role, I am also Insight's content scheduler and I have so much fun doing this. I get to creatively control how our clients' feed looks and my goal is to ensure that the images I schedule are clean, aesthetically pleasing, and balanced on their feed.

How did you get started in this industry?
My freelance career began in 2017 where I worked with a company called LED and they hired me as their graphic designer and event planner. From that experience, I learned quickly that I had a passion for creating and I knew that this would be my career path. A year or two later, Ethan contacted me and asked me if I wanted to join his team as a community manager so I quit my 9-5 job and that's when the magic happened!

What's your favorite part about your job?
My favorite part of my job is that I get to work so closely with our clients, hear their needs, and help turn them into their reality. It brings me so much joy to help our clients bring life to their businesses via social media.

Coffee drink?
I'm normally an iced green tea kinda gal BUT if I'm craving coffee (or around Ethan for too long) my order is as simple as an iced cold brew with oat milk and one pump of vanilla.

Favorite current social media trend?
I absolutely love that social media allows people to go live on their platforms. I love that feature because it allows people to really get to you know the real you!

Guilty pleasure?
Two words: Vegan. Dessert.

Karly Bishop, Content Creator | Photographer

What's your day-to-day look like at Insight Social?
At Insight Social, I'm in charge of coming up with unique content for each of our amazing clients. I take their wants, needs, visions and think up a photo concept or create a mood board that I go over with the team. Then bring it all to life.

How did you get started in this industry?
I'd been doing freelance photography for around six years and became close to the Insight Social team when they offered me the job as a Content Creator. The opportunity to work with brands I enjoy and challenge my creativity was exactly what I needed.

What's your favorite part about your job?
Honestly, my favorite part of my job is meeting all of our models/clients and creating something great for each brand. Hearing everyone's feedback is also so uplifting. I just love my job.

Coffee drink?
If I had coffee, I’d probably be running up walls with the extra energy I would have. I'll just stick to my peach green tea with guava — so good!

Favorite current social media trend?
New ways to create content that involves more than a feed of still images. I love to incorporate GIFS, stop-motion, Reels and IGTV videos to the feed.

Guilty pleasure?
Jolly Rancher Chewies. I could probably live off them.
